Pink Ribbon Cruises was started in 2002 for the purpose of raising money for breast cancer awareness, research and patient support through the sale of cruise vacations. The donated funds come both from the cruise lines themselves as well as from the earnings received by the travel agency arranging the cruise (My Travel ELF – Naples, FL). Cruisers can choose to join one of the special Pink Ribbon group cruises which feature special onboard events and gifts for participants, or they can book virtually ANY other cruise… If the agency earns earns something for the sale, it can be a “pink ribbon” cruise and a donation will be made. You will know prior to the cruise what the donation amount will be. The price you pay will not exceed the price available directly from the cruise line, and in many cases will be less.
